In California we have begun taking the fight for freedom and open competition to the people and have put PLA proponents on the defensive. Modeled on the first-of-its-kind PLA-ban that we helped to pass in Fresno in 2000, we are now spreading the Open Competition Ordinance througout California. In October of 2009 Orange County became the first entity in America to pass the ordinance and thereby codify such common sense into municiple code. In June 2010 the citizens of Chula Vista will be voting on a similar ordinance to be followed by the citizens of San Diego in November of 2010. Numerous other entities around California are also being targeted!

The ordinance is simple, straight forward, and exudes common sense, which is why it polls at over 70%. You can view the Orange County language by going HERE
