The California Automobile Museum has submitted bold plans to the city of Sacramento for building a new museum to replace its dilapidated location at 2200 Front St. in Old Sacramento.

Placer Valley Resort at Squaw Creek

Placer County has begun the public review process for an all-season resort community proposed on 101 acres at the western end of Squaw Valley. A public scoping meeting has been scheduled for 10 a.m. Nov. 1 at the Resort at Squaw Creek, 400 Squaw Creek Road. The meeting's purpose is to inform agencies and the public about the Village at Squaw Valley Specific Plan and to provide the opportunity to comment on the scope of the environmental review. A notice of preparation has been circulated for a draft environmental impact report that will be prepared on the plan and a first-phase project proposed by applicant Squaw Valley Real Estate LLC.
 
Comments on the notice of preparation for the plan will be accepted until 5 p.m. Nov. 9.

New 405,000-square-foot Sacramento Courthouse will include 44 courtrooms. Construction will begin in 2013, and the courthouse is expected to open in 2015.

Baltimore Ravine Specific Plan

The project is for the development of up to 790 residential units, a 2-acre park, as well as commercial uses. The project would entail the development of 270 acres of the Urban Reserve.
Sacramento-Wastewater-Plant-UpgradeLocation: Sacramento
Projected Cost: $770 million
 
Upgrading  in order to reduce ammonia discharge to the Sacramento River would lower incomes in the Sacramento area by $94 million a year, and 390 jobs a year, according to a report released by the Business Forecasting Center at the University of the Pacific. An increase would also be imposed.

Greenbriar Development

Greenbriar is a large (577-acre), mixed-used project proposed for North Sacramento. It is noteworthy for being one of the country's most  ambitious proposals for a built-from-scratch, greenfield TOD (transit-oriented development).

A Sacramento mixed-use development project. Delta Shores is an 800 mixed-use project that includes retail shops, single-family and multi-family housing. The project is located in the southern part of the City of Sacramento. The project was proposed and began in 2005, but because of labor backed environmental lawsuits the project is still on hold.
